08\/06\/2022 1600 miles to the Marquesas Islands 2400 miles behind us. <\/span><\/p>\n

The wind and current have dropped. <\/span><\/p>\n

We’re slowing down… <\/span><\/p>\n

It’s very long aaaaaaa, I can’t wait to get there, I can’t wait to dive into the sea, I can’t wait to lie down on the beach. <\/span><\/p>\n

The hours: every day weighs twice as much, every hour is infinite, the minutes are marked by the constant whistling of the wind that seems to slow rather than push time. <\/span><\/p>\n

I am heartened by the total absence of the dreaded heat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Living together on board is good but Caf (Luca Cafasso, my assistant) is also tired: his jokes are less and less scathing and frequent. <\/span><\/p>\n

Yesterday at 5pm we crossed the equator. <\/span><\/p>\n

JK’s bow points more and more to the south. <\/span><\/p>\n
